How about like they actually have job descriptions?
“After two years of struggling to balance the rights of patients against the beliefs of health-care workers, the Obama administration on Friday finally rescinded most of a federal regulation designed to protect those who refuse to provide care they find objectionable on moral or religious grounds.”
While a lot of language about the “conscience of medical workers” is being bandied about, here’s my two cents: don’t become a medical worker if your conscience is going to get in the way. This is about safe health, not about judgment, and like any police officer or firefighter can tell you, that involves moral grey areas. Or at least what some people would call moral grey areas; that seems to be a grey area in itself.
